Mortality Salience of Political Agenda

In psychology, there is a terror management theory regarding mortality salience that supposes the reaffirmation of death will prompt dismissal as a defense mechanism. One must conclude that the morbid nature of not adopting UHC reinforces and plays upon this concept to focus profits at the expense of patients. 

Some introduce arguments which fall under the pretense that taxes are better spent on arbitrary military budgets, for which the U.S. allocated 877 billion dollars in taxes in 2022. This rationalization of neglect is in many ways a dodge at an overarching comment on capitalism and wealth inequality. 

Establishing federally funded health care would result in 68,000 lives saved per year, which could also be estimated at 1.73 million years of life. In many regards, this is an ethically undeniable number of saved lives and requires attention as opposed to its current dismissal.
